LTW at the Austrian VNL-Logistics day 2018
Austrian VNL-Logistics day 2018
Design Center Linz, 12th / 13th of June 2018: LTW Intralogistics will present itself at the Austrian VNL-Logistics day as a full-service provider with advanced software competences. Since the beginning of the year the former company Metasyst Informatik GmbH – now our new Viennese LTW branch - enriches our product and service range with its additional software expertise.
Thanks to the merger of both companies, more variants and better solutions for the internal material flow are possible. Our customers benefit from this extended software portfolio. Now LTW is able to combine former Metasyst software-solutions right from the beginning with appropriate LTW products, such as stacker cranes or conveyor system components.
Higher sophisticated customer requirements like forklift guidance, commissioning, automated inventory and others are covered by LTW now.
We would be pleased meeting you at the LTW fair booth (No 38).
The earlier we get involved in your project, the better we are able to find a straightforward solution.

LogiMAT 2018 – Review
TURN-KEY SOLUTIONS BY LTW – more than the sum of its parts
The 16th LogiMAT (March 13th to 15th) could impressively underscore its position as the leading trade fair for the intralogistics sector: once again with great success, the number of visitors, exhibitors and exhibition space had a double-digit percentage increase.
One could clearly recognise this aspect at the LTW fair stand: Besides the visitors from Austria, Germany and Switzerland, we could welcome visitors from USA or New Zealand with an intense interest in LTW solutions.
LTW-Booth LogiMAT 2018 – Exterior view
“Our exhibition appearance as a full-service provider has generated a great deal of positive response - thanks to the reinforcement by our new Viennese branch we could present LTW-products better than ever as turn-key solutions with the suitable software. We have expanded our formerly software focus - warehouse management system for high-bay warehouses. Now we equally realise software for order picking and inventory culminating in fork-lift guidance systems. The internal material flow is increasingly covered.”
With this statement Christian Baldauf, division manager sales and marketing, takes stock and complements,
“The entire event was well received by our guests – we offer stacker cranes, conveyor systems and software including the appropriate additional services as overall solutions and ideally realise them.”
During 900 worldwide implemented reference projects LTW evolved from a product provider to a full-service provider for intralogistics.
You will find the right solution for almost every requirement in our product range – The sooner you involve us in your planning, the better we can assist you in finding the most straightforward and optimal solution for your project.
We would like to thank our customers, business partners and visitors for the great contribution to our successful trade fair presence on the LogiMAT 2018. That's why we can look ahead with confidence to the next LogiMAT in 2019.

LTW AT THE LogiMAT 2018
PERFECT INTERACTION OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
LTW Intralogistics will present itself at LogiMAT as full-service provider with expanded expertise in the field of software. In the area of internal material flow, the merger with the company Metasyst enables LTW to now also score with picking software and forklift management systems in addition to warehouse management systems.
In line with the current trend, customers are increasingly looking for more complete solutions from one reliable and capable partner for the complete task. Aspects that are becoming more and more important in the implementation process are the optimal interaction of all the system components, the responsibilities in case of interruptions and the smooth functioning of aftersales service.
HARDWARE MEETS SOFTWARE
As a machine builder, we are mainly associated with the subject of hardware – our products are functional, reliable and of high-quality. For more than 15 years, precise software solutions for material flow have also been part of our portfolio.
However, the development of the last few years has elevated the importance of software in the most diverse industries to a new level. In intralogistics, too, broadly based software is more frequently used as a merging element in exchange for electromechanical solutions. A wide range of system components is coordinated, networked and communicate at the process level. If these components also speak the same language in terms of software, as is the case with LTW complete solutions, they are close to the ideal state of interaction or, simply stated: in the flow.
A CONFIDENT LOOK TO THE FUTURE
We are confident that, thanks to our extended product and service range, there will only be a few challenges in the future in the area of high-bay warehouses that we cannot turn into a LTW solution. We invite you to work together with us to shape the path from idea to smooth system operation (Hall 1/B35).

CONCENTRATED SOFTWARE SKILLS UNDER THE UMBRELLA
HARDWARE MEETS SOFTWARE
An automatic intralogistics system consists of hardware and the appropriate software. If both parts speak the same language they are in an ideal state of flawless interaction, to sum up: in flow.
We aspire this ideal state, so we can arise as a stronger full-service provider in future and are able to fulfill customer requirements even more precisely - from rack to software.
The Team of our new Viennese branch: decade-long experience in the field of logistic-software.
Since the beginning of the year 2018 the Viennese LTW Intralogistics branch supports us due to their software skills. As a result of this alliance between Metasyst and LTW we are capable to implement even more complex software requirements. The projects put into practice together so far intensified and strengthened our cooperation.
Located in beautiful Vienna we found a strong partner and we want to very warmly welcome the new members to LTW.

METASYST ENHANCES LTW
COMBINED SOFTWARE COMPETENCE FOR INTRALOGISTICS
On April 10th 2017, LTW Intralogistics took over the Viennese software company, Metasyst Informatik, thereby enhancing its software competencies The merger process with the specialist for warehouse management systems, which started in the middle of 2016, was successfully completed.
“For several years already, we have maintained a successful partnership with Metasyst Informatik GmbH, which was founded in 1990. The great relationship is now resulting in a complete integration,” said Konrad Eberle, chief executive officer of LTW Intralogistics, explaining the situation. Metasyst has an industryneutral warehouse management system that meets the requirements of both standard logistics processes as well as dynamic order-picking processes.
In addition to this, Metasyst, which is active throughout Europe, also offers comprehensive multilingual solutions in the field of material flow control and 3D visualisation, plus forklift management systems as well as software for the optimisation of inventory, packaging and shipping processes.
The Metasyst team consisting of around 30 members of staff will be providing support to the LTW Software Department in the future from Vienna.
“By means of the merger with Metasyst we are strengthening our own software resources and creating additional opportunities for entering new business segments”, said Konrad Eberle, putting it in a nutshell. “We are thereby making considerable headway for the further growth of LTW in the global intralogistics market.”
The chief executive officers (CEO) of Metasyst, Karl Kaufmann and Günther Laber, expect intensive synergies to take place: “In a rapidly changing competitive environment, this new organisation is crucial for Metasyst’s continuous further development. We see great potential in the even closer collaboration of both companies in the future.”
