METASYST ENHANCES LTW
Combined software competence for intralogistics
On 10 April 2017, LTW Intralogistics took over the Viennese software company, Metasyst Informatik, thereby enhancing its software competencies The merger process with the specialist for warehouse management systems, which started in the middle of 2016, was successfully completed.
“For several years already, we have maintained a successful partnership with Metasyst Informatik GmbH, which was founded in 1990. The great relationship is now resulting in a complete integration,” said Konrad Eberle, chief executive officer of LTW Intralogistics, explaining the situation. Metasyst has an industryneutral warehouse management system that meets the requirements of both standard logistics processes as well as dynamic order-picking processes.

“By means of the merger with Metasyst we are strengthening our own software resources and creating additional opportunities for entering new business segments”, said Konrad Eberle, putting it in a nutshell. “We are thereby making considerable headway for the further growth of LTW in the global intralogistics market.”
The chief executive officers (CEO) of Metasyst, Karl Kaufmann and Günther Laber, expect intensive synergies to take place: “In a rapidly changing competitive environment, this new organisation is crucial for Metasyst’s continuous further development. We see great potential in the even closer collaboration of both companies in the future.”
